You have captured the moment perfectly Shaun, just you and the dog with all that beauty around you. The sparkle on the sea is the icing on the cake and the wonderful colours you use.

Bowleze Cove Weymouth I love the early morning and late evening light and the effect it has on the sky and sea. This beach is close to our home in Weymouth. Pastel on sanded paper - I’m moving away from paint at the moment and pastels suit the energy I try to put into my artwork.

I try to achieve vibrant colours in my paintings. I work intuitively with large flat brushes - I also try not to overwork my pictures and they are often completed in two sittings. I use good quality acrylics because of their excellent pigment content. I like to interpret what i see in front of me…
