This is beautiful Seok, the camel looks great, fantastic painting

This is simply amazing---I wish I was able to paint that good

This is perfect, Seok. I admire the way you paint your subject pure and "simple" with no background details to distract the viewer!!! Can I ask you a personal question: where do you really live? You painted so many different places that it is impossible to guess where your home is. And also: we all call you Seok, but is that your name or is it Seok Yam or Yam. Are you a man or a woman (sorry if that is impertinent but to us Europeans...) In the beginning we even used to say Eddy to Ping, and the worst of all: she was a "female" Ping instead of a "male" Eddy!!!

This is so lovely and like Mia I love the way you concentrate on your subject with little distractions on the page. It makes for a very eye catching image. Beautifully painted and composed.

Beautifully painted as always with such lovely detail on the patterned "rug" on the camels back. Sorry, showing my ignorance here as I don't know what it is called.

Thank you so very much, Petra, Charles, Mia and Thea! Charles, in my opinion, you paint much better than this, and you certainly don't need to aspire to what I do, but thank you for your very kind encouragement. Mia, no problem at all. I live in Singapore but went to school in Lugano, London and Boston, hence my predilection for some of the subjects of my paintings. My first name is Seok Yam but all my friends call me Seok, so no issue there. Like the female Ping, I am a female Seok. Ping's husband and I used to work together in an international law firm, and even Mr Eddy III has been called some pretty strange things, like Mr Third and Mr Ai-ai-ai, so don't feel so badly about it! Ping's been called worse than Eddy, and I have been called a few worse names by opposing counsel, so nothing fazes us!

Thanks very much, Val! I have no idea what all that patterned stuff is called either, so "rug" perfectly describes it!

It is beautifully painted as usual and I like Mia am glad I know I am not making mistakes when addressing you. I have a nephew who lives with his family and works in Singapore. What a small world,eh? Back to the painting it's great.

Seok ,you do these so very well, always a pleasure to see your travelogues, they would make a beautiful and interesting book, wonderful work. I haven't been on for a while and have missed so many paintings but I hope to catch up and be back posting before to long.

Fabulous Seok, I also noticed his beautifully painted rug !

Seok--- It was not encouragement ---- and I state again It was not encouragement-- Just a statement of fact

SORRY about that--- chas

I guess with your busy life painting is just a great way to relax!!! I love the way you paint I wish sometimes I could put less in,but thats what makes art so great we all have our different styles! nice to read about you as a person , im 57 and a hairdresser perhaps that why i like painting fur!!!!Linda

Seok , i love your work. Do you illustrate children's books....you would be great. Your portfolio is very impressive.. Thankyou for commenting on my work.

That comical superior look on the camel's face is wonderful, and the colourful saddles are so well done.

Beautifully painted Seok, such a noble looking animal, well done.

Typical, haughty camel. I still remember one in Bristol Zoo, which gazed at me in thoughtful condescension, and generously decided to spit at someone else after all. I do like their independent spirit, which you have totally caught.

No Seok, you've got it all wrong - this Camel isn't a desert cab - he's employed by the Tourist Authorities to pose for Tourists! What a splendid beast. So nice to know who you are and where you live and thank you for your feedback on my postings. Of course, your painting is beautiful.

Wow, thank you so very much, everyone! William, glad to hear from you again! Looking forward to your postings when you resume. Charles, many thanks, I am really flattered that you like this. Linda, I knew there was a reason why you were so obviously good with fur! Kate, no, I don't do illustration. Would love to do it sometime, but don't feel I'm ready to launch into that yet. My art teacher was once an ilIustrator and I always thought it was such a cool job.

I do like the touches of colour in the halter, and of course the rugs. Super expression.

Fabulously painted as usual. As someone who doesn't have the opportunity to travel your paintings are a delight. :)

A real eye catcher. I agree with all the above..... and always love looking at your different paintings. Thanks for your interesting comment on my houses.

For goodness sake Seok! This has to stop! This another brilliant work, and I'm so jealous!

Many thanks, Lesley, Amanda, Avril and Tony!

super! fabulous!! have you a website or a blog ?

Thank you, Alain!

seok ,i haven't been on line for a little while, so took great delight in looking at your paintings since i last looked, they are all wonderful but i love this , he looks so superior and haughty

Superb! Wonderfully observed. You have captured the camel's 'snooty' look excellently! I love it.
