Boats at Woodbridge

Thank you very much, Kirstie. But credit must go to the English/Trinidadian artist, Paul Banning, whose one week workshop I took at Dedham Hall in Essex last year. I spent a week struggling to understand boats and to paint them en plein air, and although I am sure I drove him demented with the slow speed at which I worked, he was very patient in teaching me during our day in St Osyth how to capture the shape of boats. He also went through my watercolors to throw out all the opaque and semi opaque colors I was using. I found that when I came home, everything suddenly fell into place and boats were not so daunting after all.

I agree, you have a very wide range. I try cover a spectrum of subjects with mixed success.
