What a wonderful pair of dogs and your portrait does them justice in spades. They look so haughty and proud together like that and I love their luxurious coats. Beautifully observed and painted.

Thanks so very much, Michael! I will definitely be working on more dog portraits. I do have an interest in hounds and animals in general, and will therefore be continuing with my favorite subject from time to time.

Two beautiful whippet girls, Bronte (Australian Grand Champion Taejaan Butterfly Effect) and Lexie (Australian Grand Champion and 2010 Sydney Royal Best in Show winner Taejaan Bird On A Wire). This winning mother and daughter team are bred and owned by the talented and extraordinary breeder, Mrs Molly Rule-Steele, of the illustrious Taejaan Kennel in Australia. Bronte and Lexie are also the dam and litter-sister respectively of my younger whippet girl, Cara (Taejaan Portrait O'Alady). The painting will form a part of Mrs. Molly Rule- Steele's private collection. Acknowledgment: painted from a photo by Taejaan Kennels.
