Interesting story and a lovely work Seok , love all your painting's

Nice to hear the story of the painting Seok, super work as always.

Love your narration and your beautiful painting Seok.

Beautiful painting, Seok, febulous tree.

Lovely fresh greens And interesting story too Seok.

An interesting narrative Seok, this is really superb and I'm particularly loving those area's in shadow which give great depth to the piece.

Love the tree. I think I would have would been tempted to put the figures under the arch. None the less ,still a good painting.

Thanks very much, everyone! Fred, the thought occurred to me - figures out in the sunlight to capture the shadows and figures under the arch to fill the space. The truth is it was too hot and I was ready to call it a day by the time I painted the figures outside. By the time I got home, I was too lazy to do anything else!

Understood Seok. Keep forgetting how hot it is there !

I learn so much about your part of the world Seok from your beautiful paintings and your accompanying narratives.

Thanks very much, Val!

Well done, you have a really good eye for doing trees Seok.

The area in downtown Singapore, on which Craig's Place is sited, was the former nutmeg plantation of Dr J. William Montgomerie, who first arrived in Singapore in 1819. He was the Assistant Surgeon in the service of the British colonial government. He built two dwelling houses in the area, one of which was called Craig's Hill. Craig's Place was named after the original house. Acrylic on Paper. Painted en plein air.
