Painted en plein air. A little shop on Racecourse Road, in Singapore's Little India. Evolved from a Tamil convict colony from colonial times, Little India is one of the last places in Singapore that has resisted the encroachment of modern skyscrapers. With its old ramshackle houses and little shops, it provides painting fodder for artists hoping to capture the vestiges of a bygone era.
