And you do them absolute justice, Seok....This is beautifully painted.

I realy love your flower and still life paintings. I expect you are nurturing friend Jack - hes obviously an artist too.

beautiful red roses, and the glass vase is good too. Lovely arrangement..

Beautiful gallery. Lovely composition and colours

This is so soft and pretty Seok! Very well interpreted!

I like this Seok , Its beautifully painted and I believe you have used tones of the flowers colours in the drapes, it works well.

Beautiful, Seak Yam. The gentle, and refined feeling created by the perfect tones of colour is just so appealing. Very well done...

So beautifully painted Seok. Do you paint on canvas or paper and how do you thin the oils to have such a smooth surface?

Super painting, you have painted the flowers so well.

What a beautiful gallery you have Seok. Your flower paintings are absolutely superb.

beautiully painted Seok, a lovely floral still life indeed

This is so perfect - the flowers and brilliant and the glass is masterly. I often find oil paintings a bit heavy but this painting has so much lightness in it. Well done indeed.

Thank you very much everyone for your very encouraging comments. I really appreciate your taking the time to visit. Valerie, Jack is an artist, not on paper and canvas, but his creations can certainly be considered art. William, yes, I did use the colors of the flowers on the curtains to try to keep the unity of the painting. I'm amazed you could see that as the photo really isn't a very good one. I never seem to be able to photograph oil paintings very well - there's always a reflective glare. And Satu, the painting is done on canvas. The smooth finish, I suspect, is due to a combination of the fact that iti s a fine cotton canvas, and my use of an acrylic underpainting beneath the oil paint.

I can't believe I've missed your flower gallery all this time. These are so real but when I looked at the next one of the peonies my eyes almost popped out of my head. They are absolutely amazing.

Thank you very much, Diana! Coming from such an accomplished artist, I feel very flattered and very encouraged. Satu, I forgot to mention that I use Mussini oil paint, which is very fine and has a high pigment content. I don't mix it with any medium when I am painting, except at the end, when I glaze, in which case I mix it with a mixture of half solvent and half linseed oil.

This all works so well...love your colour palette!

This is again a beautiful work in your gallery, Seok. Well done!

Thank you very much for your kind comments, Stephen and Mia!

Hi Seok, thank you so much for your comments for my paintings and for telling me more about how you get this lovely soft surface. Always interesting to learn new things. Kind regards Satu
