That’s so lovely Seok! I have never been lucky enough to see a kingfisher despite many visits to our local wetland centre, hopefully one day I will!

Beautifully composed. How is rice paper to work on? Tricky I should think.

Thanks very much, Gudrun! I found rice paper a nightmare when I first started Chinese painting lessons. However, now that I have gotten used to it, it's quite a welcome challenge. It feels as if one is painting wet into wet, because the paint spreads once it is applied, but the paper is actually dry! However, like watercolor, it is essentially learning to use just the right amount of paint and water on the right kind of paper.
