Thank you all for your comments. For some reason they have not been coming up and I have missed people. sorry for that. Frances - you well might have a drawing of mine as I did do quite a few of that subject around then but it all seems so long ago now. I was better then than I am now...

I wouldn't say that....I think your work has much more authority now. But your pelargonium inspired me to take up botanical art much later in life. You gave me the piece after I fell into the ditch on the way home to h*** hall late one night. Frances in Sydney

Right now! Frances! I was trying to place your name - it seemed familiar and I found I connected it with a certain folksong.... Do you still sing! I fell into a lot of ditches on my way home to HH late at night! What memories! My current project is trying to recapture those sort of memories - but my feelings around them rather than accurate detail. I am not sure what I am trying to achieve but there are a couple of examples of my attemps on the 'Pictures of home' gallery - the sunset through the hedge scribbly one and Holbacks barn. All those pictures are of or around HH. HH is now pulled down sadly.... I am glad the drawing was an inspiration for you. That is great!
