A oil pastel landscape inspired by a friend's photo of derelict farm buildings in the USA. The photo captured my imagination - probably because I saw farm buildings left to decay in my own childhood surroundings. I wanted to capture the sadness of the abandoned hopes and dreams that this image of decaying buildings conveyed to me.
