A beauty of a Lapwing and it's pose Sarah, it's crest and sturdy form with speckled black spots on its eggs! It's as though it had just landed on the seas-shore to lay its eggs, with a keen eye too! Am excellent acrylic painting Sarah!

I like the alert look and carefully looking after the eggs Sarah. Lovely work.

Superb Sarah, so well drawn and painted

This is a super painting Sarah and very reminiscent of when I worked in farming many years ago. There were plenty of lapwings about then and it wasn’t uncommon for them to nest in the middle of a ploughed field in the spring, which meant I would often have to work around the nest when tilling the soil ready for corn planting.

Your Lapwing is excellent Sarah. I loved to hear their cry in the winter and spring over the fields.
