That is really good!!

Beautiful Sarah.

Lovely loose work

Sarah that is a gem.

Superb painting Sarah- love the bold colours and loose brushwork and the soft atmospheric background.

Thank you so much Paul, David, Denise, Jo, Sylvia and Rachel - very glad you like it. Didn't have much painting time this weekend so nearly didn't get round to it - glad I did!

Such wonderful, animated trees Sarah. Love this.

Excellent Sarah.

A gorgeous scene and nicely painted in watercolour, like the loose style Sarah! Lo

A great characterful tree - lovely loose work!

Thank you for your lovely comments Carole, Chris, Spencer, Angela and Anne.

Very good watercolour Sarah

Lovely work Sarah x

Oh yes Sarah! This is really smashing….love everything about it.

Thanks very much Heather, Katy and Fiona!

Even slightly sinister - limes can be (perhaps it's just me) a bit intimidating, with their prolific outgrowth at the base and dark limbs; there are several where I live, one big specimen in the garden .... perhaps I'm advertising my neuroses, but I always have suspect there's someone, or something, lurking behind it... Anyway, he said, changing the subject - this is very well painted, the scratching-out, or reserved areas, emphasizing the bulk of your major tree.

There's an extra "have" in that comment: which should read "I always suspect..", etc. Age creeps over one and causes these things....

A lovely loose watercolour Sarah. Super tones.

Thank you do much Robert and David I really appreciate it! And yes Robert I definitely agree with your thoughts on the sinister side of limes! Especially in winter - by the time spring comes around and they get their beautiful foliage they look a little more benigh! Thank you again.

I think lime trees are beautiful and love how they look stately and wild at the same time. These are near a golf course in the National Forest close to Ashby de la Zouch. Watercolour 5 x 7 "
