This is full of life and energy Sarah - I think my new favourite of yours!

Oh thank you Rachel, that's lovely to know! It's getting towards your neck of the woods too - Wicken Fen which is almost in Suffolk!

Lovely picture Sarah.

Sarah it’s a terrific painting. Love all the darker tones and the counter changes with the light grasses…..beautiful.

So much to like about this and so small too

Impressed when I saw this lovely painting

Superb tonal contrasts and lively mark making. Really like it Sarah

Great effort. Light and dark work well together.

There's a magic about tiny paintings 5" by 5" is as small as I go, otherwise it's too hard to see what I'm doing. As Fiona said, the counterchange is very important here; the smaller the painting, perhaps the greater the need to emphasize tonal contrasts. Though that's always important anyway: good painting, to save you from more of my waffle.

Thanks to you all so much - I really appreciate all your wonderful comments (no waffle at all - it's lovely!) Thank you - glad you like it.

I like this one a lot Sarah -cold colours cold day. Excellent.

Beautiful, Sarah!

Lovely fresh feeling !

Good work Sarah, the meandering path is a great lead into the composition.

Beautifully painted Sarah.

Thank you Willie, Anne, Valerie, Stephen and Diane!

Acrylic on paper . It's only tiny - 6 x 8 inches. I like painting small anyway but it's definitely easier to fit it on when the daylight hours are so few!
