Saw your name on it, and thought 'ang on!, I thought, that's never Satu... but all is revealed. I don't know the original, and I don't think I know of Franz Bischoff, but this is a very pleasing painting, beautifully drawn and richly coloured. Just not Satu Vartiainen.....

I agree with Robert, this is a wonderful painting, copy or not. Interesting to experiment sometimes I think as there's always something to learn.

No it isn’t Satu, but immensely satisfying I’m sure. It’s superbly painted and immediately grabbed my attention - and that doesn’t happen often on here!

It's an amazing effort, Satu, and fabulous result! I do understand, however, your sentiment and I agree with you. It's always an educational exercise to copy someone else's work, but there's nothing like your own work that feeds the soul.
