Mysterious and interesting image. Satu. You have made quite a change here from your other images. Super, well done.

Hi - really like this soft brush technique - you must use nearly dry paint and a hog hair brush? How do you get the lines? are they put on or left out? It inspired me to look at your gallery - I like it all but particularly the portrait of Cedric. Have you tried abstracting from landscapes - I would love to see the result if you did. Do reply

Thank you Angela! I must tell you that this painting was finished just before I started the Nursery Rhyme series so the change was after. I'm not sure which direction I should follow. Thank you Clive for your interest. You are right, I do use the paint quite dry at the end but there are several coats before the final stage. The lines come last on top of everything. So funny that you asked about abstract landscapes. I'm painting one at the moment but not yet happy with it. I have done some before but not many. Thanks again!

I really like this Satu. It is similar to the cubist style but softer and works very well. Jean

Great work, and very different.

Thank you Jean and Paul, so lovely to have comments.

Imaginary scene of an entrance porch to town with a Lady waiting for somebody to come out.
