I've always admired your work for its diversity and invention...among other elements..freedom and commitment being others but this one bothers me. It looks as though it's been a very rapid execution from start to finish and without the splashes of colour around the ear and mouth, which I imagine were the last things to be done, are like musical 'grace notes' the image would have less impact. That's ok..it's what good pros do but what's happening to her neck as she looks as though she's been stabbed. Is this part of a narrative? Sorry Satu..this is what happens when I stay up late...idle musings...

Roger, you are right, I painted this very rapidly at the end of a workshop after having finished the Trapped in Time painting. The marks on her neck don't show that much in reality, it's the camera in my iPad which is not working as well as before. Poor lady, she wasn't stabbed just waiting behind the curtains for the one who never came. Thank you Roger for the long comment x
