Wonderful mood to this one, Satu, it looks a picture to me -now. Lovely painting.

Superb sense of depth, and I really like that sky.

Looks finished to me - I love the loose abstract feel to this Satu

A delightful result for recycling Satu, love the pinky glow in the sky, gives a late evening feel to the painting.

Satu, your paintings always make me go WOW.... so full of atmosphere . You will like it even more tomorrow.

Always a treat to see your paintings Satu, this is fabulous.

I can't keep saying 'I think this is your best', because, well, I just can't, anyway, I love it as it is, one of the finest works that I've seen on this site for a long while. I am having a pang of envy...

You are all so kind! Thank you Willie, Alan, Lynne, Fiona, Sylvia, Carole and Alan!

Beautiful atmosphere. Great color palette! "Less is more", I think you have said it all so wonderfully here.

I agree with all comments. This is truly gorgeous, Satu.

Love it Satu and the sky is superb

Gorgeous Satu, I think you've mastered these abstract landscapes, they're stunning.

Thank you so much Cesare, Dennis, Andre and Michael!

Lovely colours and a wonderful atmosphere to this, Satu, especially like the softness in the foreground.

Yet another superb piece Satu, it would look so good on my wall!

Cold and icy with a wisper of hope as the sun comes up behind the horizon..... lovely !

Thank you very much Jenny, Russell and Avril for your lovely comments, so much appreciated!

Rubbing my hands together to keep warm. Feel like I'm there. A great talent Satu.

This is really interesting Satu, a lovely painting. I enjoy painting over other works - the texture below enhances the brushstrokes and I find I paint them more quickly than the original. Brilliant brushstrokes

Thank you Pat! Yes, you are right, the painting underneath gives like a solid base for new colours. In this case the original version was quite similar but much weaker and without soul. I rebuilt it with several glazes and criss crossed the paint over and over again with a big brush. I'm not touching it any more!

Absoloutely brilliant. The colours are magical. Great atmosphere has been captured.

Thank you Gudrun, very kind!

I have spent a couple of satisfactory hours painting this on top of something that didn't work. Several glazes with a big flat brush, some strokes with my palette knife and I'm reasonably happy with it. I'll have another good look tomorrow to see if it's finished or not.
