It is indeed expressive probably because it wasn't planned..well, you didn't keep to the original plan! So much more exciting to look at than a copied photo, and I agree with Dennis here. Painting should be exciting and surprising I think, which your paintings always are!!

It actually reminds me of a portrait of Jesus, would you believe. It's a very powerful portrait and the style in which it has been done adds to the drama.
