I'm not sure why you think you have a block at all! I love this, especially for the crackled look. The colours are great, as is the composition. Keep at it, however, "small".

Gorgeous colour Satu and good composition . Painting can be a struggle to get going sometimes can't it? I can usually find something else to do and then tell myself 'tomorrow'.. It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one and from experience I know that the 'block' will go in time!

Hats off to you for perseverance Satu! I tend to just turn my back to my paints:( This is very eye-catching with great colour.

your coming through it satu as this painting proves

A real stunner - if this is block does to you, well ..... - would love to see it mounted and framed

Gudrun, Louise, Carole, Dennis and Michael, you are all so kind and I thank you for your continuous support ! It's very much appreciated. I have been avoiding my studio and as Louise said, you can always find something important, like ironing, to do. I have just prepared three small canvases ready to receive colours so ......

Love the colours and composition of this one Satu, I'd say you've definitely come through the block. Look forward to seeing what you produce on your three prepared canvases.

Interesting composition and bold colours.

Thank you very much Christine and Debs for your kind comments!

Gorgeous use of colour Satu!

This is gorgeous, Satu! Love the textural effects and the dusky palette. Block - would love to have a block and still paint like that!

I agree above all with Seok about having a block and still producing a painting like this, Satu. Super result!

Lovely bold work Satu!

Many thanks to you all Lesley, Seok, Mia and Sarah! Much appreciated.

Just been looking through all your work and have made a fuller comment somewhere but seem to have lost it! I am new to all this! Love the vibrancy and variety of all your work which has inspired me to continue trying to break out of my detailed mode. Thank you!

Thank you Geraldine for looking through my work and I'm so glad if it can inspire you. I did get your other comment, thank you for that too!

Really inventive and going out on a limb is obviously working to inspire you. Lovely work, Satu.

So bold and in your face, I love it Satu. What a way to banish painters block.

Just been reading about your "passage à vide" !!! As you know I love this one and your two subsequent portraits are full of energy and interest. I know the feeling only too well - every painting I do is full of hesitation....... Every one needs a rest from time to time ! so remember that your paintings are highly appreciated.

Thank you so much Thea, Val and Avril for your most kind words, they really mean a lot to me!

Still trying to dig my way out of painter's block but it's getting better and I managed to do this small painting without too much struggle..only three retakes.
