Well I think you have done a good job of the butterfly and thier natural liking for lavender flowers is quite right because that looks very much like a Budlier(I may have spelt this wrong if so forgive me) it's a shrub which the butterflies love.In fact I have heard it called the butterfly bush.

Did it from a sketch developed from a few reference photos. Format A4. Saunders 300 gsm. I was attracted by sunlight on the butterfly plant and the velvety dark wings of the butterfly against it. Painting light on the butterfly plant was quite a challenge. It was white originally, but I took artistic licence and made it purple pink. I think I have overworked it a bit.
