Such a beautifully painted portrait Sarah, the owner is no doubt extremely pleased with it. I tend to concentrate on the face too, my patience wanes a little with painting the rest of the body, but you've done a brilliant job of it.

Certainly the correct thing to do painting the whole body . Such a beautiful painting with excellent detailing in the fur and the nose , for me the eyes are outstanding as they’ve extremely well painted, and look so full of life. .

Recent commission of a lovely little cocker spaniel called Bertie. I don't often do full body portraits as feel my skills lie more in the faces but the angle of the composition in the reference photo was so endearing, I decided it would be best to paint the whole of him. Oil on board, 12 x 16"
