Thanks Heather, that's so kind of you! I initially painted quite a flat background on this one but as she was in such bright sunlight, it didn't seem to work. This background seemed to suggest what I needed it to! x

Just stunning. I must admit I do get a little depressed when comparing your painting with my own work. Your are so far more talented than me, I wonder why I bother. But please keep your painting coming, it at least illustrates where I should be aiming for!
