It's lovely Ruth! The bin? So glad you retrieved it!

Bless you, Jane!! Thank you so much....

Quite right to retrieve this Painting from high up looking down is really difficult I love the composition of this painting with it's flowing lines I have been looking through your portfolio Lovely distinctive style. Manus

It would have been wasted in the bin Ruth, much better idea to delight us with it. It's a lovely painting.

I agree with what's been said - much to good for the bin Ruth!

Has a great feel to it - definitely not bin fodder

super aerial view! The water effect is really good. We are probably all too critical of our own work! This doesn't belong in the bin, just look at all the positive comments here! I agree with them all !!!

I don't know what to say, only that your comments are overwhelming and so unexpected. Thank you very much for responding.. And yes, we are all of us too critical of our own work, so let's all take heart and go for it1

i agree with the other comments wholeheartedly Ruth, what a shame that would have been! keep posting please

You are obviously much too hard on yourself!! Fancy putting this lovely painting in the bin! You always produce such lovely work that I can't believe that you ever do one that isn't really good and this one is no exception - the waterfall is really well done as are the lines of trees. So glad you rescued it. P.S. I always doubt everything I do, so I do actually sympathise.

I read something early on when I started painting a couple of yrs ago, - Never Bin Anything. Unfortunately I have quite a lot of stuff now, but look at the comments. What you might think uninteresting,/not up to scratch - is not to others.

I do same Ruth some of mine go in the bin im to critical, when you see modern art with a few brush strokes I wonder why we dont turn it upside down and sell it!!

A very striking watercolour Ruth, what on earth possessed you to bin it in the first place? LOL (Yes, I've been reading your exchanges with Robert on the forum) Lovely hard and soft edges to the mountains and great title.

Lovely painting Ruth

Definitely too hard on yourself, Ruth! The atmosphere here is superb and the waterfall is brilliant! It is quite a little gem! Like Thea and you, I have the same problem - binning before I look! So yes, I sympathise too. Thank you very much, too, for your very kind comment on my painting.

This caught my eye Ruth....... it's another "fairy" fantasy and it's lovely.

Threw this in the bin and then retrieved it...don't know why, but it suddenly seemed to have something which appealed to me. Are we too hard on ourselves?? For what it's worth, here it is.....
