I like it ...this type of painting it is after my own heart .I love the fact that you have not gone for the simple view ,a challenge is good for the soul , as for me .I love to paint sod all as they say , great one .

Really like this one Ruth. Quite loose, almost abstract and lovely shades of green ( the dreaded colour I can never get right!!) One I would be more than happy to have hanging on my wall.

I love the shades of green here Ruth and you have made it more interesting adding the blue/green. The very dark sets it all off nicely with some clever negative painting. ps. Thanks for kind words on 'Kinder Scout.'

Lovely painting I really like the abstract quality of it...the dreaded greens are lovely against the delicate blues and purple hues.

Hello Ruth, I have let things slip of late but I tried to add some work to the site a few (or several )weeks ago but kept getting an error message, so gave up. I still should have commented at least which I feel bad about. I think you have done an excellent piece of painting here, like the light and shadows and the interlocking of the limbs and branches, impressed also that it was developed from a sketch, well done. Kind regards, Joe

This is lovely, almost an abstract feel ...great lights and darks.

I haven't commented on this one either and this is brilliant! Did I sleep through Oct/Nov? It looks even better in a frame and on the wall!

Watercolour 8x12" on Bockingford ex. rough. Sat in the autumn sunshine (at least I think that's what it was!) to sketch these beeches, and finished the painting at home. Would appreciate any comments at all.
