Wow! This is stunning, Ruth. Did you do this after the Underwater Adventure? If so, that was quick! Beautiful greens, almost looks as if kissed by frost. I wonder if you used clingfilm again? Really great work, lovely to see it.

Avril, I agree it did turn out a little spooky, maybe because woodland darks have mysterious depths, Ann...Yes, it was done the following day after the underwater painting. I used clingfilm as before, but I was more careful with where I put the first paint marks, with broad strokes to suggest movement, then covered with film, and saw a pine forest. Great fun!

This is very clever Ruth and, as has been mentioned, wonderful greens! Love the roots of the trees and the snow effect.

Thanks Julia. Interesting that you see snow, when what suggested itself to me was water falling down the hillside............I think I need to get out and learn to paint water!

Ruth, I wouldn't worry - any painting is just what others see in it; and you can keep your own vision to yourself. It's a lovely painting, congratulations.
