An experimental piece using a succession of gouache and acrylic gloss medium layers. The gouache is applied in single colour layers and then wiped away where it isn't required, which gives interesting results. A coat of the medium is applied between each layer. The wonderful reference photo was supplied by Robyn on PaintMyPhoto.
