I can't see why you feel you are struggling, the depth of shadow amongst the roses is splendid.

Thank you all for your very kind and encouraging comments - I really don't find watercolour easy. It seems that using a limited palette is helping me to learn how to handle the paint.

Ruth, if this painting is you struggling.......I can't wait to see your work when you've mastered it, and you will I'm sure! I think after looking at your beautiful Roses, I'll give up with watercolours:)
