Love the sky and the water, fantastic painting

Another lovely watercolour Roland, as Ruthy has said the sky and water are really well painted. Classic composition, with the Tower on the vertical and horizontal thirds, these 'simple' watercolours need planning to work!

Beautiful reflection.

Beautiful painting Roland perfect and natural arrangements as you always achieve with all elements in a wonderful harmony and style

Such beautiful washes and fine detail Roland. Great painting.

Delightful!

a real cracker Roland - are the white lines, which are so effective, done with a knife?

Beautiful watercolour, love the shadow on the castle and the far off mountain and trees,<br />

Michael, the white lines are created with masking fluid and a very old worn down rigger - very few hairs left on it now. Its like a &quot;zero zero&quot; size rigger now if such a thing exists!

Thank you so much everyone.... Ruthy, Stephen, Tanusree, Dennis, Carole, Ruth, Michael, Joseph. I appreciate your thoughts, comments and time very much. I&#39;ve painted this one twice before and managed to make a grand bags of it altogether, it just didn&#39;t sit well.., I&#39;m much happier with this one - third time lucky.

Thanks for the tip regarding the white - something I&#39;ve not tried although I do use white acrylic ink for the odd highlight if called for.

Mesmerising!
