Hi Stephen, Hello Michael. Many thanks for your very kind words. I'm delighted you both enjoy the painting so much. I was trying to really highlight the castle so worked the sky as dark as I dared ! (without overkill ) Trying to save the real darks for the cast shadow in the quayside foreground. I'm new to this site so still feeling my way around but very much looking forward to exploring the many artist galleries and uploading my own paintings.
