Canal Boats On A Cloudy Day
Acrylic on canvas board. This is an image of the Black Country industrial landscape in decline. The British canal system was the motorway network of its day in the 18th and 19th century. They are now predominantly used for pleasure cruising. We had just had a significant rain storm and as it passed over the canal I managed to take a few moody industrial landscape photographs that could be worked up into a painting. This is the result.
