Beautiful sky work of the clouds and close detail of the sands. I like the softness.

Thank you, Debbie. I have had several attempts to get the ripples in the sand rendered in a convincing way. Truth to tell I am still adding elements to this work.

Torridge River Sunset at Instow. Oiil Painting on canvas 56 X 41 cm. Instow is a village in north Devon in England. It is on the estuary where the rivers Taw and the Torridge meet. The view shows Appledore on the opposite bank. In the foreground is the rippled expanse of beach known as Instow sands. As the tide recedes, boats moored in the river become marooned.
