Physalis By Antique Lamplight

The lengths an artist will go to for that perfect still life, you've got that papery look of the Lanterns by lantern light. Marvellous work. A lovely humorous blurb, Roger.

Such an unusual and very effective approach to these much loved seed pods. Very eye catching!

Great painting … worth the pong!

Super, unusual, composition. Your discomfort has been well rewarded as the texture of the physalis is spot on Roger.

Many 'thank you's ' for kind comments...always much appreciated. Now for something different...I am totally opposed to POL allowing anyone using this website for the purpose of selling their work. To be brief....at the moment...it reduces the simple ethos of 'show and tell' to the base level of a market place and touting for trade. I will add to this at later today. Right now it's doggie walk time!

I did add a comment yesterday Roger - where did it go? Anyway, very funny vision of you painting away - another dramatic piece of work too.

Marjorie...thank you for having made the effort...I have no idea what happened to your comment but thank you for having done so,

Tricky...the oil lamp pongs, and I have to wear a face mask, which pleases partner. She thinks that improves my looks which is a bit rich coming from someone who thinks that a restorative cosmetic face pack is a Good Idea...well, it keeps the flies away! Oil on canvas and as usual, painted from life. Anyone for a mud bath???
