This has worked really well I feel, Roger. Full of movement and balance and great palette.

Some great textures and colour combinations here Roger, in particular the beach section! - I do like semi-abstract paintings like this one, but less so with full on abstract!

Thank you all. I've been surprised today by exactly who has made such enthusiastic and positive comments, particularly on Facebook. I'd wondered whether some people would think I've lost the plot but I'm very pleased, myself, with this fairly new departure. Previous attempts have resulted in neither one thing nor the other but this is what I was after.

I like this semi-abstract, it works really well -full of life and the feeling of being on the seashore.
