The famous warship Warspite nearing completion in 1913 as war loomed, it was said that wherever there was action the Warspite could be found in the thick of it. She saw action in the first and second world wars then worn out in 1947 the "grand old lady" was scrapped in 1947, on the way to the scrapyard she tore loose from her tow and ran aground in one last act of defiance.
