I like it as it is Robert and definitely wouldn't add any foreground detail. There's detail in those trees and any more might be too much. Follow you're own instincts and also, listen to me. It's good!

Good to see this...and like lots. Personally ....like what do I know ! I might just darken the those close rocks a tad more . Just give a bit more drama... Do the eyes half closed bit..... Then leave it for a week and look again. Lucky you new canvases, I am busy doing my recycling bit.

No, agree with Louise. The foreground rocks with the light on them lead the eye(or mine at least) over to the delicate detail beyond. It's perfect as it is.

To make it more difficult for you: I would add some detail in the foreground. This would probably add more depth and drama to the whole slipped area. But that is my personal opinion, Robert!!

I'm nicely confused now - 2 for, two against. Hee hee. I shall give it a hard stare in a week or two, and see what it says...

This is taken from as near as I could get to the collapsed road between Niton Underclff and Ventnor, Isle of Wight: one of the most attractive roads on the island, until the cliff slipped. Thirty by Forty cm - I didn't get THAT near, by the way, so there's a fair bit of guesswork. There are those who think I should add more foreground detail, or at least break it up a bit - I'm not sure what to do, whether to leave it or come back to it. What do you think?
