Wow, this painting is amazing Robert. Pastel is the perfect media for this subject - I can't imagine it being painted like this in watercolour.

Part of my Manhattan project' this one was done over 10 years ago and about as long as I have been contributing articles to 'The Artist' magazine actually. The painting has long gone but the spirit that created it hasn't. one of those small hour paintings done on a big scale. No phone, no email, no noise...appart from the pastel working rapidly all over the surface and sips of the very special 12 year stuff! Heaven!
