Biography
Robert Dutton is a versatile and accomplished professional artist with over 25 years experience teaching art, organising successful residential art breaks throughout the UK and abroad and is a popular demonstrator and tutor of all levels and ability. With a relaxed and confident style as a tutor, the painting workshops Robert also organises nationally with his ‘short break’ painting holidays give all students the confidence to develop their own style with all sorts of different media whilst learning the best creative skills and tips to create really exciting paintings. His expressive, impressionistic style and vigorous brushwork within his dramatic landscape and seascapes paintings have led to many international and national recognised fine art awards. Based in Leeds, Robert takes great inspiration directly from within his ‘gritty northern landscapes’, particularly the Pennines and Yorkshire Moors to create his award winning pastels and mixed media paintings. Robert regularly contributes highly regarded articles to ‘The Artist’ and SAA ‘Paint’ magazine and regularly exhibits his paintings throughout the UK and abroad with popular acclaim to include the Federation of British Artists at the Mall Galleries.
