Arches 300gsm (140lb) rough. about 1/4 imperial. Foundation sketch recently featured in HTML newsletter from 'The Artist' showing the stages of a studio pastel painting created from this sketch. It was created outdoors for 30 mins and then in the car with The heater on full blast to warm up! It was freezing outside! The ink was skinning over and the watercolour froze...as I did during that 30 mins! A crucial half hour though to get the essence of the piece mapped out. The Arches paper took the snowflakes very well!
