What an idyllic place! Great attention to detail Rachel, lovely result. I wonder what it would have been like with ochre beneath, being the complement…try a little abstract of the scene, I’d love to know😀

An attempt at a wonderful photo spotted on Good life France fb page ages ago and been in my “to try” pile all winter. I like a square format but it’s difficult to make it work. I used a magenta under paint as having seen under painting used in demos and professionals I thought I would see how it worked out. Many years ago my dad encouraged me to use an ochre under paint - but I thought I’d try magenta as it seemed to be the prevalent colour in the photo .
