Love the warm colours in the background and the water is rendered beautifully, love it.

A lovely painting. I know the location well having painted here too. From a little further round you can get the Wallace Monument in to the composition.

This has worked well Val, I thought it was a watercolour at first, you have blended the colours very well to get that effect. As Glennis has said the water is very effective, I like the change from smooth to ruffled water you have shown.

LOvely colours Val, beautiful scene.

Thank you Glennis, John, Stephen and Carole for taking a peep and leaving such generous comments.

This has a lovely feel to it by your use of composition, colour and texture.

Love it, Val. My husband did his higher degree there ! Your trees are very nice

Gorgeous warm colours Val, your trees are a beautiful shape. I agree with Stephen and Glennis about the water, the contarst between the still and the movement is excellently done.

This is lovely Val love the silver birches.

Thank you Michael, Gudrun, Jenny, Fiona and Denise, I'm going through a lean patch at the moment so your your lovely comments are a welcome boost to my rapidly declining confidence:)

Beautiful use of colour, a very serene scene :)

A lovely atmospheric painting, Val, with a super palette!

Hi Val, love this Uni campus painting, great colours and super water, thanks for checking out my latest dog pastel portrait of 'Jinty' pleading to come in, he does such a super 'Pleading' expression there is no resisting him! And obviously he has worked out over the years that's the way forward to getting what he wants!

Painted a few weeks ago but I've only just got around to photographing it. Not the best photo, it was quite dull yesterday :( This is one of the lochs that are in the university grounds. A very scenic campus, it sits at the foot of the Ochil hills in the shadow of the Wallace Monument and the grounds are a haven for wildlife. Thanks for taking a peep, C & C welcome.
