Ah - nothing more beautiful than Scotland on a lovely day. I have driven past this Loch on many occasions and thus can say with authority that you have really captured the look and feel of the place. I love your wonderful billowing sky as well. Super work, Val.

Thanks Thea for your lovely comment, especially meaningful coming from a Scottish lass who knows the place. :)

I've been waiting for your holiday paintings Val, and you haven't disapointed. A truely lovely painting of a beautiful part of Scotland. How far North did you come, did you make it to Clachtoll?

Great and a lovely big sky - I.m a sucker for big skies

Perfect use of pastels. I like the sky, the mountains, and the lake - in short all of it.

Many thanks for your lovely comments Fiona, Michael and Fiona. Fiona this was from May when we went to North Ledaig just north of Oban. I've got plenty of photos and sketches from our last trip from the end of June/beginning July when we went to our usual Kinlochewe/Poolewe/ Gairloch area. ( Hubby likes to have his birthday meal with friends in the Whistle Stop Cafe in Kinlochewe. Great food, chef /owner used to chef in the Torridon Hotel. Take your own wine, no corkage charge. I'm not on commission LOL ) Unfortunatley we didn't make it as far north as Clachtoll this time but we will hopefully, still a few months of "summer" left. LOL

Superb sunny atmosphere, Val, and a lovely palette. Beautifully done.

Many thanks for commenting Seok.

Over looking Loch Creran from Benderloch near Oban. From a photo and sketch taken in May. Rembrandt soft pastels on pastelmat. (Decided I prefer colourfix and Fisher 400 even though I do get sore fingers blending the pastel on them LOL) Thanks for looking :)
