Pollyanna has long held a fascination for painting big cats. She sketched this magnificent male lion sitting proudly with one of his cubs while on safari in South Africa. The Pollyanna Pickering Foundation actively supports big cat conservation internationally, and has helped fund pens for rescued lions at the Born Free Sanctuary in Shamwari. She has also given her support to Lionaid who are working to protect these cats in the wild. 20% of every lion picture sold will go directly to conservation projects.
