You have a truly gorgeous gallery. This is my favorite, probably because I was in a similar situation once a few years back in Kenya. I can say you definitely captured the moment in all its terrifying glory!

While on safari in Namibia Pollyanna was charged by this huge Tusker elephant! He streated clouds of red dust which Pollyanna has captured in this dramatic image. African elephants are the largest living land mammals. They are highly intelligent with complex social lives, living in close-bonded family groups and taking tender care of calves. Elephants experience a range of emotions such as joy, sorrow and anger, and can communicate these with a range of vocalisations, expressions and gestures. Due to their great size, elephants have unique physical needs and require large amounts of space, food and water to survive. Pollyanna has sketched elephant many times while on safari in Africa. During a recent safari into Namibia, her jeep was charged without warning by this huge male tusker elephant, churning up clouds of red dust. This heart stopping moment inspired this dramatic painting. This painting is available as a limited edition - visit www.pollyannapickering.co.uk for further information
