It’s a superb painting, certainly has the traditional look.

Love the natural stoop of the girl carrying the hay and the use of the golden colours and blues. Beautifully painted John.

Great traditional feel to this, John. Studying the masters is such an enormous help to develop one's own way forward. Really love the shadow in this, too

Excellent work John.

You’ve certainly achieved the look John. The subject also reminds me of Millet.

Very good and I agree that so much can be learnt from these turn of the century artists

A striking 'harvest'painting John, and the lady , her costume and hay looks amazing!

Excellent John.

A wonderful painting John. I love the details of the folds in her clothing.

Beautifully painted John, I'll look forward to seeing the other three. Fresh and full of life.

Very skilfully done John. The lighting and folds in her skirt, perfect!

Oil on canvas box frame. Size 5x7 Inches. Which means I have squeezed the French artist Julian Dupree’s Oil painting down from 18x13. I am doing a set of four farm workers. The oil painters between the late 19th and early 20th century produced some superb skilful art, so fresh and full of life. So very much to learn from them.
