A difficult pose to both hold and paint!

How long did the model hold that pose, I wonder? Well captured John!

Great skin tones. The white edging is so effective in splitting the model from the background.

Thank you Heather, Linda, Spencer, Christine and Coral. The model posed for 30 seconds. I did the study from a reference image. The thirty second pose is meant for just capturing the gesture. It’s good observational practise just to capture the basic flow of lines. Thank you for your feedback.

Totally agree with Heather! After years and years of life drawing, I completely sympathise with the model!!!That hand is really good!

The figure work in your configure a figure series are alway interesting and challenging poses John. In this you can see the muscle tone and the foreshortening (?) of limbs……excellent.

Ouch that looks like a difficult pose John. As in your previous study the white line highlights the figure well.

Thank you Thalia, Fiona, and Mary, your comments are appreciated.

Great colour and tone John. Well painted.

A difficult pose to hold for long John! Great tones and lighting.
