That's super. The scope of their wing movements is wider than you'd expect. A good painting John.

I love watching Wood pigeons launch themselves - I always think they look joyful! You have caught it really well.

Very good pigeon John!

Stunning! You’ve defined captured him at take off. One flew into our window yesterday and was a little stunned, but after a while he took flight again.

I have a couple of wood pigeons visit the garden, they make me laugh the way they waddle about from one bird feeder to the other. You’ve caught the shape and contours of its body as it combines its movements to get the lift. Really like it John.

Due to your patience and superb camera and artistic skills this perfect John.

Thank you Lewis, Sarah, Heather, Spencer, Fiona, and Mary. Your comments are very much appreciated.

A number of wood pigeons consider my garden as their home, but I have not drawn or painted them yet; I suppose because they are always there. You have made me look at them with new eyes! Beautiful painting, John.

Thank you Linda and Coral, appreciated.

I've a garden full of these and I love the colours in their feathers. This is a great painting of one John.

Thank you Linda, Carol, and Val. Your comments are appreciated.

Really like painting animals and birds in action. This wood pigeon was sitting on a lamppost. I waited and waited and eventually the bird came off and I got my reference. Gouache on cartridge paper.
