It's magnificent - there's a fantastic sense of growth in this, as of an almost alien construct.

It certainly captures the energy of the gothic architecture--love the palette knife impasto and the upward viewpoint which makes the cathedral appear to soar.

We stopped off in Le Mans on holiday last year and I was struck by teh imposing Gothic Cathedral. I took some rference photos and sketched it taht night in Watercolour pencil. Here it is done in oils. I manged to get excatly the look I wanted on this one. Hope that you like it too.
