Crow

I take it a "r" has inadvertently popped up in the title, as it is a very good painting of the cow, and the fence work excellent.

Looked hard for it and yes, the drawing and treatment make it very likeable.

Thanks for your lovely comments. I think you can see from the construction lines that this is cropped from a larger picture in which the crow was centre stage! The larger piece had a dog in the foreground a group of crows, a cow with a calf, cows in the middle distance and a farm house in the far distance surrounded with trees it was to be my master work.... it was a DISASTER!!!!<br /> Before confining it to the bin I ran my small mount across it and found a &#39;speaking crow&#39; in the bottom corner ah.... the downs and ups of picture making.

I do like your style of painting Philip (and titles that really make you look!). It&#39;s frustrating isn&#39;t it when a painting just doesn&#39;t turn out the way you&#39;d so carefully planned - been there lots of times - but this cropped section works really well.
