Red Tractor by Philip Montgomery

This is an unusual composition but I really like it . it is superbly painted , I like the title red tractor when it all about the bull very good Philip well done .

I have enjoyed looking at your gallery! I am intrigued with this bull. I enjoy the way you use your pencil lines as a strong part of the painting...and the simple shapes throughout this one and many of your compositions....and everything is tied together, often thru the pencil marks. Intriguing use of the animals in the foregrounds, looking at us....what are they thinking? nice title, the red tractor, I find it because you have titled this so, but the back lit bull is the star!

Luscious washes.

The title drew me in ( no pun intended) and the bull looks suitably stocky and fierce. Lovely soft tones and pencil marks. All in all a winner Philip.

Smashing drawing and lines left exposed as it should be (trying to get my grand daughter to forget the eraser) The red tractor compliments the scene. Your gallery has lovely content.

Everyone is assuming this is a bull!. May be, may be not. I love cattle and this fella/lady is so statuesque, it could almost be a Henry Moore sculpture .
