Thank you Carole it nearly ended up as a Wedding Anniversary present I started it off as a watercolour but it morphed into what it is now it was a pleasant journey when I eventually completed it

How lovely Philip. What a surprise to see this as the Seaboard Villages are my favourite holiday spot and aspirational home :-). Indeed, I’ll be there at the weekend!

Structured painting of the Balintore Mermaid a public sculpture on the shore of Balintore which is a small village in East Ross-shire in Scotland. I painted this using acrylic gesso and acrylic binder, home maid textural paste, gauze and some beads just to bring out some depths. It was a wedding present for friends who were married at this location.
